Fa uns dies, mentre cercava feina pels carrers del centre de Leeds, vaig veure una estampa genial i simptomàtica. Mentre el mercat laboral britànic es troba realment deprimit, el centre de reclutament de la Royal Navy, la Royal Air Force i l'Army funcionava a ple rendiment. Tots els seients plens, tots els funcionaris treballant i totes les pantalles de televisió ensenyant imatges d'helicòpters (deu ser la màquina de guerra més recorrent en les campanyes de propaganda de les forces armades occidentals, no trobeu?).
